The American Technical Education Association voted to appoint Mr. Ryan Purdy, President of Mid-Plains Community College, North Platte NE, to the position of 1st Vice President and President Elect finishing the late Dr. Ann Bolman’s term. Mr. Purdy will be president 2025-2027. The American Technical Education Association voted to appoint Mr. Matt Kirchner, CEO and President of Lab Midwest and Tech Podcast, based in Mequon, Wisconsin to the 2nd Vice President position. Mr. Kirchner will be inline for appointment to 1st Vice President and President Elect 2025-2027. The American Technical Education Association voted to appoint Dr. Laurie Boeding, Vice President of Academic Affairs, Trident Technical College to the Board of Trustee, 2025-2028. The American Technical Education Association voted to appoint Mr. Scot McLemore, Executive in Residence at Columbus State College, Columbus Ohio. term 2025-2028. Resignation Dr. Aaron Fichtner, President of New Jersey Council of County Colleges resigned from the ATEA Board. Dr. Fichtner hosted the 2020 National Conference, the first 3 day virtual conference–which as to be held in Camden New Jersey.

Betty Reynard is now president, times two. Dr. Reynard, president of Lamar State College Port Arthur in Port Arthur, Texas was sworn in on Friday, April 14, 2023 as the newest president of the American Technical Education Association, a national organization that supports technical program curriculum in higher education.
