Ivy Tech has developed a program through a DOL Grant, Capacity Building in Community Colleges, for supply chain technicians.  It creates a threshold to both get into a supply chain automation employment  and to advancing education.

Equipment Maintenance program an opportunity to go from non-credit to 6 college credits that apply to three to four other programs at four Ivy Tech College sites, Fort Wayne, Muncie, South Bend Eckert and Indianapolis.

The Certificate Program is a Pathway to MSSC Electrical Certificate, Mechanical Certificate, Automation and Robotics.

Bob Parker, Department Chair, Advanced Automation and Robotics,  Ivy Tech Community College, Fort Wayne. Bob has incorporated the trouble shooting component and equipment in for credit programs and will be among the first to implement it in the non-credit, Supply Chain Technical Program

Amatrol Skills Boss Trainer: Jason Everett, Regional Sales Manager: Jason will explain the Skills Boss Trainer, how it builds trouble shooting skills and team work.

Justin Chittick, Aidex Sales Technical Consultant, Aidex is an Amatrol distributer and works with MSSC on the Supply Chain Technical Certificate.

Bob Parker, Ivy Tech Instructor: The core skill of trouble shooting and how to crosswalk from non-credit to credit, the "Difference Maker" in students lives. What was expected of students and what was not.

Justin Chittick, Aidex Distributing  provides a view from Aidex clients' perspective on Skills Boss and his experience building the technical support through working with Amatrol, MSSC and Ivy Tech to build the program.

What is ahead?

Summary and next Best Practice Call  April 17 will be a check  on the Equipment Maintenance Certifications:  number of students, plans for fall 2024, business partners, and delivering on Strengthening Community Colleges goals.
