ATEA is planning a members conference for the fall of 2020 to Las Cruces New Mexico on ecosystem needed around a spaceport. Las Cruces has Spaceport American funded by the State of New Mexico and now the home terminal of Virgin Galactic's space mission. VG is moving its operations from the Mojave Dessert to Spaceport America. The conference will look at technical training needs at the Spaceport and at White Sands Testing Facility and White Sands Missile Range. Dona Anna and New Mexico State University will be part of the programming to show how they have worked together to create seamless transfer and new divisions to meet the needs of space travel.
